Mother’s day

The day I opened my eyes, she was there

I didn’t know her that well, but she held me tightly 

Wherever I turned, there she was constantly spying on me

She fed me, cleaned me, talked to me relentlessly even though I didn’t utter a single word

She cuddled me, made sure I was safe and happy always 

Her face glowed like a million stars when I spoke my first word ‘mom’

She tirelessly kept speaking to me and teaching me about the things around me

Her heart missed a beat when I put forth my first step - new milestone 

She taught me to be strong and wise; and made me see life in a different perspective 

She helped to learn the art of patience even in tumultuous storm of issues

She was an epitome of kindness and love; 

trust and care was her armour 

She was a living embodiment of love which was unconditional and limitless with no constraints and boundaries

Being a quintessential woman, hope  and persistence was her best traits

She was the apotheosis, the finest example of what people want a mother to be

I am truly blessed and lucky to have her, my best friend who molded me to who I am

She is my mother - Happy Mother’s Day Mom!
