Rescued miners

It was a relief to know that the miners are out at last and happy they are in good condition. I was wandering how could they have survived underground for all these 69 days with meager food and without seeing the world outside. The credit goes to NASA for inventing a device in such a less span of time to bring the miners out. The union of the miners and their family members brought so much of joy among the people around the world that words could express.

McDonald's burger

It came as a surprise to me to know that the burger from McDonald's doesn't decompose. Seeing the picture taken by Sally Davies has given me a total new insight about the fast food. I guess that the food chains should start rethinking on how they could reinvent their food processing and it is high time that they publish an article on revamping the food processing technology to keep people coming to their joints.

Another issue that captured my eyes was the difference and appearance of the buger shown on advertisement vs. on reality as shown below

Look at those burgers. Are we getting what we see and paying for?

Convergence of media - Tiger Woods

It's interesting or rather surprising to know that news media are setting new trends to increase their dwindling publication. If this is going to be the case, I guess more and more news media might opt it as an example to increase their publication. But as readers we should be cautious about such publication which drags famous people into it for shear publicity.

What's next? I hope the media finds other ways to increase their publication ... Maybe by revamping their media by introducing people-oriented-interested topics or they should have a short survey on the column just to know what the mass would be interested to read about.

Commonwealth games and India

More dramas evolve as days get closer to the days of the the commonwealth games which is to be held in India and to learn more from it.  It is sad to know that few athletes withdrew from the games due to lack of certain facilities and other problems attached to it. Why not give a chance to the developing countries to hold games as such instead of having it again and again in the countries which already had in the past.

I was really touched by the words of Commonwealth Games chief Mike Fennell "I would dearly love them to be here, but I have seen here before that when the big stars don't come new ones are created." That's going to be true when the real stars or athelets don't participate new ones are created.

There are also Indian protestors saying to withdraw the games and save that money to build schools and basic facilities. But I feel that our country has to come forward to break the term "developing" countries and wonder how many more decades will we Indians have to wait for such a progression to happen.
